We are all settled into our new spot here in The Piazza and loving it! Shot term, we got in at exactly the wrong time, just as the cold weather got here. But no worries, I'm POSITIVE that this was 100% the right move for us long term. Those of you that have been up here know what I'm talking about. FREE PARKING! No parking authority either, and MORE stores, bars, galleries and restaurants than on South Street. Where we are is the like the north hub, you can park here and check out The Piazza, Liberties Walk and the rest of 2nd Street between here and Art Star. There's easily over 50 shops. For everyone who bitches about the 'Insta-City' and 'Planned Vibe' up here--get over it. There are more people up here busting their collective ass than anywhere else that I know of. As far as the planned aspect, etc... the guy who built this place said it best-what hurt South Street, Manayunk, & the rest was different landlords all trying to get the most money. It didn't matter who was paying it. Here everyone is doing something different by design. Bottom line is that we're not going to wind up with 15 earring stores here. I'll take it!
Right now we have amazing artwork up from Joe Leonard, Bird Reynolds and Monique Ligons. The show runs until New Years Day and shouldn't be missed. It's called 'Wild Things' and has the theme of animals in human situations like performing on stage, gangster activities and war games with bunnies and German Shepherds.
Also, we're happy to announce that Gabe Sapolsky of Dragon Gate USA and Evolve Wrestling will be joining us on a regular basis. We are their official address, so stop by and say hello...
New in stock...
More REBEL 8 than ever, new toys from Kid Robot and more, new Jinxed/Upset the System designs, all of the new Juxtapoz books, and MORE on the way for Christmas!
Also, we're headed up to Provincetown this weekend for the Helltown Christmas Bazaar and to lay groundwork for this summer. Stay tuned...
